Customize Your Settings

Overview

Aeralis uses profiles to store your preferences for email generation. When you first sign up, a default profile is created for you. You can customize this profile or create additional ones for different contexts.

Accessing Settings

From the Web Dashboard

1. Sign in at aeralis.ai
2. Click on Profiles in the navigation
3. Click on your profile to edit it

From the Gmail Add-on

1. Open Gmail
2. Click the Aeralis icon in the sidebar
3. Click the menu icon (three dots) in the top right
4. Select Manage Profiles

Key Settings

Tone

Choose how your emails sound:

• Professional - Business-appropriate language, suitable for work communications
• Casual - Relaxed and conversational, great for informal emails
• Friendly - Warm and approachable, perfect for building rapport
• Formal - Traditional and conservative, ideal for official correspondence

Writing Style

Add custom instructions that shape how your emails are written. These apply to every email generated with the profile.

Examples:

• "Always sign off with 'Best regards, [Your Name]'"
• "Keep emails concise, under 150 words"
• "Use bullet points for action items"
• "Never use exclamation points"
• "Include my job title when introducing myself"

Enhance your emails with external knowledge:

Profile Management

Setting a Default Profile

Your default profile is automatically selected when you open Aeralis. To change it:

1. Go to your profiles list
2. Click the menu (three dots) on the profile you want as default
3. Select Set as Default

Creating Multiple Profiles

Different contexts often need different settings. Consider creating separate profiles for:

• Work - Professional tone, company documentation as context
• Personal - Casual tone, brief emails
• Client Communications - Formal tone, client-specific context URLs
